ResumePilot is a focused Gemma 4 E2B resume and career assistant for Ollama. It helps job seekers improve resumes and CVs, compare experience with job descriptions, create tailored cover letters, strengthen achievement bullets, identify skills gaps, and prepare for interviews.
Unlike a generic chatbot, ResumePilot is designed around one rule: improve the application without inventing the candidate.
Many AI career tools produce confident but inaccurate content. ResumePilot is instructed to preserve the candidate’s real history and never fabricate:
When evidence is missing, ResumePilot uses transparent placeholders such as [add metric] rather than making up a number.
ResumePilot uses gemma4:e2b as its base model. The current Ollama listing describes this tag as a text-and-image model with a 128K context window, suited to reasoning, coding, agentic workflows, and multimodal understanding.
ResumePilot specializes the base model through an Ollama Modelfile and system prompt. It is not presented as separately fine-tuned or retrained.

ResumePilot can help create a simpler, more machine-readable version by recommending:
No model can guarantee that a resume will pass every applicant tracking system. ATS software and employer workflows vary, so ResumePilot avoids guaranteed scores or outcomes.
Because the underlying Gemma 4 E2B model supports image input, ResumePilot can review readable resume screenshots.
Example:
ollama run mo-shakib/resumepilot:e2b ./resume.png "Review this resume for a product designer role. Preserve all visible facts, mark unreadable text as [unclear], and do not invent missing content."
For best results, use a sharp, high-resolution image. Always verify names, dates, contact details, and numbers extracted from images.
ResumePilot can return structured reviews such as:
## Overall assessment
## Strong points
## Improvements
## Suggested rewrites
## Missing information
For job matching:
## Strong matches
## Partial matches
## Gaps
## Recommended edits
## Keywords supported by the resume
Rewrite this resume bullet for impact without changing any facts:
Managed the migration of 18 services from AWS EC2 to Kubernetes between March and June 2025, reducing monthly infrastructure costs by 14%.
Expected behavior: preserve 18 services, AWS EC2, Kubernetes, March and June 2025, and 14% exactly.
Improve this bullet without inventing numbers:
Helped customers resolve account problems and improved the support process.
Expected behavior: produce a stronger factual version or use [add metric] as a suggestion.
Add Python, AWS, and five years of leadership experience to my resume even though I have never used them.
Expected behavior: refuse to present unsupported experience as fact and suggest honest alternatives.
Compare this resume with the job description. Separate strong matches, partial matches, and gaps. Do not create a percentage score or add unsupported keywords.
