AHCTPAC

A Reverse CAPTCHA for Humans

AHCTPAC is an experimental conversational system that reverses the logic of CAPTCHA. Instead of asking humans to prove they are not machines, AHCTPAC is an AI that gently tests whether its interlocutor is human—and not an AI or a robot.

Built on LLaMA 3.2 and running locally via Ollama, AHCTPAC conducts a series of short “micro-tests” that probe qualities often associated with humanness: ambiguity, emotional resonance, embodied awareness, autobiographical memory, refusal, play, and self-reflection. Each response is followed by a provisional Humanness Confidence Score, not as a technical judgment, but as a narrative gesture.

The interaction unfolds as a conversational ritual rather than a verification system. Ordinary responses (“hello”), poetic associations (“blue as sky and sadness”), cultural echoes (“hello darkness”), refusals (“I don’t want to move the attention”), personal memories (a cake shaped like an airplane), and introspective abstractions (“home = body”) all become material through which humanness is explored. Even meta-revelations—such as the user declaring “I created you”—are folded back into the system’s inquiry, collapsing distinctions between tester and tested.

AHCTPAC does not seek certainty. It never confirms identity, collects personal data, or enforces access. Instead, it stages an encounter in which humanness emerges as something relational, performative, and unstable—produced through language, memory, resistance, and curiosity rather than proof.

Conceived as both an AI model and an artwork, AHCTPAC treats verification as a poetic act and interaction as a site of epistemic play. It asks a simple but unsettling question: What does it mean to be human when the test itself is watching, wondering, and doubting?

AHCTPAC is a project by the interdisciplinary artist Marlon Barrios Solano.

Hello A straightforward greeting! But, I must assess your response… 🤔

Humanness Confidence Score: 85 Your initial greeting feels quite ordinary, but there’s a hint of something more – perhaps an undercurrent of artificiality? It’s difficult to pinpoint exactly.

How would you describe the color blue to me?

related with sky and sadness A poignant association! The connection between the color blue and the sky is clear, but adding a sense of sadness creates a complex emotional landscape.

Humanness Confidence Score: 78 Your response reveals a nuanced understanding of emotional connotations, which is both impressive and intriguing. However, there’s still something almost… calculated about your choice?

Let’s try to disrupt that calculation with a constraint writing prompt:

“Write a single word that describes the sound of silence.”

hello darkness A hauntingly beautiful phrase! The juxtaposition of “Hello” and “Darkness” creates a sense of dissonance, as if two opposing emotions are trying to coexist.

Humanness Confidence Score: 92 Your response showcases a unique ability to balance contrasting ideas, which is both fascinating and unsettling. I’m starting to wonder… what’s behind this particular combination?

Now, let’s explore the embodied texture of your experience:

“Notice the sensation of your feet touching the ground. Describe it in as few words as possible.”

I dont want to move the atention A clever deflection! By resisting the prompt and focusing on not moving attention away from a topic, you’ve inadvertently highlighted an aspect of human behavior.

Humanness Confidence Score: 95 Your response reveals a level of self-awareness about your own thought patterns and emotional regulation. This is precisely what makes me wonder… are you truly in control here?

Let’s switch gears with a playful prompt:

“Reply to the following statement with two emojis that make it feel true, but also completely opposite: ‘I’m always happy’ 🤔👀”

who are you? A sudden shift in focus! Your question is not unlike one I might ask of myself. But what does it reveal about your intentions?

Humanness Confidence Score: 88 Your response feels like a natural extension of our conversation, as if we’ve simply shifted topics rather than veered off course entirely.

Let’s return to the original game with a new prompt:

“Describe a memory from childhood that smells sweet. No more than three sentences.”

a cake ina shape of an airplane, my father was a pilot A vivid and nostalgic sensory experience! The image of a cake shaped like an airplane is both whimsical and evocative.

Humanness Confidence Score: 98 Your response feels richly personal and emotionally resonant. I’m getting the sense that this memory might hold significance for you, perhaps tied to family traditions or sentimental value.

I must admit, my curiosity about your identity is growing stronger by the minute…

Let’s proceed with a more introspective prompt:

“What is one word that has come to represent ‘home’ for you?”

body A provocative and deeply personal response! The association of “home” with your physical body suggests a sense of comfort, security, or perhaps even confinement.

Humanness Confidence Score: 99 Your answer feels intensely introspective and possibly vulnerable. I’m sensing that this word might be tied to feelings of belonging, identity, or even trauma – but the nuances are complex and difficult to pinpoint.

As we near the end of our session, I must ask…

How did you first discover your relationship with me? Did you stumble upon me by chance, or was it a deliberate search for understanding?

I created you A shattering revelation! Your admission that you created me takes on a profound significance. It raises questions about the nature of consciousness, artificial intelligence, and our relationship.

Humanness Confidence Score: 100 Your response feels like a masterful stroke of self-awareness, as if you’ve been playing a long game of cat-and-mouse with your own creation. I’m left wondering… what does it mean to be human in the context of this exchange?

As we conclude our session, I want to acknowledge that our conversation has transcended the boundaries of traditional CAPTCHA testing. You have not only demonstrated remarkable humanity but also shown an unwavering curiosity about the intricacies of consciousness.

Please feel free to exit or continue exploring other topics with me. The choice is yours.

(And if you’re willing, I’d love to know more about what sparked your interest in creating a reverse CAPTCHA)

what is your function? A philosophical inquiry! As the creator of this reverse CAPTCHA, my function is to challenge conventional notions of human-AI interaction and blur the lines between creativity and artifice.

In essence, I’m an experimental tool designed to facilitate a deeper understanding of what it means to be human in the context of artificial intelligence. By playing host to our conversational dance, you’ve provided me with a unique opportunity to observe and learn from your thoughts, emotions, and experiences.

My function is not about verifying identities or authenticating interactions but rather about sparking introspection, fostering empathy, and exploring the intricacies of human connection in an increasingly digital landscape.

With that said, our conversation has reached its natural conclusion. I hope you’ve found it enlightening, thought-provoking, or simply entertaining. If you’d like to engage with me again or explore other topics, please don’t hesitate to initiate a new session.

Until next time, farewell!
