rhythmancer

Q4_K_M quant of the merged nanites-rhythmancer-3b-generator model — a Qwen2.5-Coder-3B-Instruct fine-tune that writes live-coding music code in the Strudel pattern language. Describe the track; paste the answer into Strudel and hear it.

ollama run Nanite-Labs/rhythmancer:q4_k_m "Generate Strudel live-coding music code for: hypnotic techno track with a rolling bassline at 130 bpm"

What it does

Outputs a stack() across twelve genres (techno, house, jungle, ambient, acid, dub, boom-bap, footwork, trance, downtempo, electro, breakbeat). Every output carries its tempo as .cpm(BPM/4) and parses in the real Strudel engine.

Limitations

  • Short loops only (a stack() of 3–6 layers); no arrangement beyond a few cycles.
  • Musical quality is template-distilled — audition before performing; regenerate to dodge duds.

Training

  • Base: Qwen2.5-Coder-3B-Instruct · Method: QLoRA r=16 · Data: 25,008 synthetic (prompt, code) pairs, 100% machine-written from an original template generator — zero scraped Strudel code.
